School District Website Legal Compliance Self Assessment
Leadership - Artifact 1
Leaders bear the ultimate responsibility for their organization and legal compliance is an important component of this. This artifact was developed in EDTECH 501 to leverage technology and help school leaders ensure their online presence meets all applicable legal requirements. This can be a complicated task, especially in a small charter school setting with limited resources and expertise. This self-assessment can be completed by school or IT administrators to identify all essential components of a website regarding compliance including legal disclosures and policies at the time it was published.

Beginning Python - Online Course
Leadership - Artifact 2
I developed this online course as the final project in EDTECH 512. This course intends to introduce learners to the Python programming language and the core concepts of computational thinking. While this artifact does not demonstrate leadership from its content alone the method I chose to implement the artifact hopefully does. This course represents a significant amount of time and effort although I am not sure that it is readily apparent by its appearance.

Leadership - Artifact 3
This artifact is the final mini-project in the Maker Project Proposal I completed in EDTECH 538. It extends the simple circuit projects from earlier in the instructional unit by adding an Arduino program to control the circuit with software, a snippet of which is displayed below. Extending the Maker Project Proposal beyond Scratch was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed learning more about microcontrollers. Being given the latitude to explore this topic made the entire course more applicable to my current professional practice.

Leadership - Artifact 4
I would be remiss not to include an artifact from my favorite course in the program. Introduction to Machine Learning Education (EDTECH 597) provided an excellent introduction to machine learning and data analysis using Python, Orange, and Jupyter Notebooks. The artifact linked below is from an exercise later in the course where various machine learning models were applied to a dataset and evaluated. Further below is a representative output from a Jupyter notebook used in the course.

Leadership - Artifact 5
The artifact featured below is the final project for EDTECH 538 and features all of the work completed in that course. It should look familiar because it is based on the same framework and uses the same tools that I used to develop this portfolio. I chose to feature this artifact in leadership because I feel it demonstrates personal innovation in web development and I wanted to discuss the process behind the creation of this artifact as well as my final portfolio.
